NBA Roundup – Feb. 12

It is All-Star Weekend in the NBA starting with the Celebrity All-Star Game and Rising Stars Challenge this Friday night. The highly popular Slam Dunk Contest is scheduled for Saturday night and the NBA All-Star Game itself tips-off on Sunday at 8 p.m. This year’s festivities will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

There are still some big games to be played before the league puts the regular season on hold until next Tuesday starting with Wednesday night’s showdown between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Clippers in a battle between the current three and four seed in the Western Conference. The Trail Blazers are coming off a 98-95 loss to Oklahoma City this past Tuesday as one-point home underdogs on VietBet’s closing line to fall to 2-3 straight-up in their last five games. The Clippers followed-up a loss to Miami last Wednesday with a pair of victories over Toronto and Philadelphia both SU and against the spread. VietBet has opened Los Angeles as a 7.5-point home favorite over Portland with the total set at 216.5.

The Heat will be back in action this Wednesday against Golden State after knocking off Phoenix on Tuesday 103-97 as 2.5-point road favorites. They are now 4-1 SU in their last four games with a 3-2 record ATS. The Warriors have gone 4-2 SU (3-3 ATS) in their last six games and the total has stayed UNDER in six of their last seven outings. VietBet USA Offshore Sportsbook has yet to post its betting odds for this game pending the playing status of Miami’s Dwyane Wade.

There are only two games on Thursday night’s slate as part of a TNT double header. In the first game Brooklyn will be on the road against Chicago in a matchup of two teams trying to carry some momentum into the break. The second game pits the league’s best team, Oklahoma City against the Los Angeles Lakers, who are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games. The Thunder have now won 14 of their last 16 games SU while going a profitable 12-4 ATS during this run. The Lakers have just four SU wins in their last 19 games and they are coming off a dismal 96-79 loss to Utah as two-point home favorites this past Tuesday. Be sure to check VietBet for the betting lines for these two games as the best NBA Betting sites for US Players.
