NBA Roundup – Feb. 26

As the NBA regular season gets ready to close-out the month of February, the race to the No. 1 seed in both the Eastern and Western Conference has really started to heat up. The East is still a two-team battle to the top between Indiana and Miami, but the Heat’s current five-game winning streak has cut the Pacers’ lead to just two games. The Pacers blew-out the Los Angeles Lakers this past Tuesday night 118-98 as 13.5-point home favorites on Vietbet’s closing betting line. This was the first time they covered against the spread in their last five games. They will host Milwaukee on Friday before playing Boston this Saturday on the road.

Miami has enjoyed a couple of days off after knocking-off Chicago 93-79 this past Sunday as a 7.5-point home favorite to remain perfect ATS as well during this five-game run. VietBet has yet to set the NBA betting odds for this Thursday night’s matchup against New York, but given the current state of that team, look for the Heat to open as double-digit favorites at home. They will then remain home for Saturday’s game against Orlando.

Over in the West, Oklahoma City’s lead over San Antonio stands at 2.5 games as of Tuesday night’s games, but the hard-charging Houston Rockets are now just four games back after winning 10 of their last 11 contests. The Thunder followed-up last Thursday’s 22-point loss to Miami as three-point home favorites with a 125-117 loss to the Clippers as 5.5-point favorites at home this past Sunday. They will be back in action on Wednesday against Cleveland as 13.5-point home favorites on VietBet’s current NBA betting lines.

The Spurs will be at home against Detroit on Wednesday as 10.5-point favorites after coming off an extended nine-game road trip that ended last Friday with a 106-85 loss to Phoenix as 1.5-point favorites. All told, they went 6-3 SU and 5-4 ATS while the rodeo was in town. San Antonio will host Charlotte on Friday and Dallas on Sunday.

The Rockets kept things going in the right direction with a lopsided 129-103 victory over Sacramento on Tuesday as four-point road favorites. In what should easily be the most entertaining game of the week, they will face the Clippers in Los Angeles on Wednesday. VietBet has opened Houston as a 5.5-point road underdog with the total set at 220. Next up on the slate for the Rockets is home game against the Pistons on Saturday.
