NBA Sportsbook Weekly Betting Report – March 24, Sports bettors might be focusing their attention on college hoops this time of year, but the action in the NBA has been heating up as well with the top teams in the league jockeying for position for the start of the postseason later next month.

The Atlanta Hawks still have a comfortable eight-game lead for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, but they have hardly looked the part lately with just three wins in their last seven games including a three-game losing streak both straight-up and against the spread heading into Wednesday’s matchup against Orlando. The Hawks got crushed by San Antonio their last time out in a 114-95 loss at home as two-point favorites on 5Dimes’ closing NBA betting odds. Defense has been a major issue with the total going OVER in six of their last eight games.

The top team in the West is the Golden State Warriors with an NBA-best record of 57-13 while going 41-28-1 ATS. Their current winning streak reached six games following Monday’s 107-76 rout of Washington as 11-point favorites at home. The Warriors have now covered in five of their last six games and while the total stayed UNDER 5Dimes’ closing 207.5-point line against the Wizards, it had gone OVER in their previous six contests. Next up is Tuesday’s road game against Portland in which 5Dimes has opened Golden State as a five-point favorite.

Turning to the Southwest Division, both Memphis and San Antonio have provided a solid return for bettors over the past week. The Grizzlies are 7.5 games in back of Golden State in the West at 50-21 and they are riding a three-game winning streak both SU and ATS. They will play host to Cleveland this Wednesday night in a huge inter-conference matchup.

The Spurs are also a perfect 3-0 both SU and ATS in their last three outings as part of a 12-game run in which they have won 10 games SU while going 9-3 ATS. San Antonio will be back in action this Tuesday night as a three-point road NBA betting favorite against the rival Dallas Spurs.

This could be a golden opportunity to go against the Mavericks. They have lost their last two games SU as favorites and they are a dismal 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games. The total has gone OVER at the NBA Sportsbooks in five of their last six outings. Top
