If you are looking for few hot teams to bet on during this final run before the start of the postseason a good starting spot would be with the Los Angeles Clippers. They have been tearing things up on the court lately with just one straight-up loss in their last 11 games and they have now covered against the spread in eight of their last 10 outings. In the first of a home-and-home series at the Staples Center, the Clippers crushed the Lakers 106-78 this past Sunday as 14-point road favorites. They have been opened by 5Dimes NBA basketball betting Sportsbooks as 17-point favorites for Tuesday night’s game as the designated home team.

Another hot team in the West has been the San Antonio Spurs. The defending champs are finding their form at just the right time with a current seven-game winning streak (SU and ATS) heading into Tuesday’s showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Spurs are listed as six-point road favorites on 5Dimes’ current board in that game. Later this week in a huge home-and-home Southwest Division showdown, San Antonio will host Houston this Wednesday night before going on the road to play the Rockets this Friday.

The hottest playoff race in this conference is between the Thunder and the New Orleans Pelicans. Heading into Tuesday night’s clash against the Spurs, Oklahoma City (42-35) is clinging to eighth place by just a half game over New Orleans (41-35).

Boston is trying to hold off Indiana for the eighth spot in the East with three wins both SU and ATS in its last four games. The Celtics are now 35-42 SU on the year with a solid 44-33 record ATS. They will go on the road this Tuesday to face Detroit.

The Pacers have strung together three NBA basketball betting victories in their last five games (SU and ATS) to improve to 34-43 SU (40-34-3 ATS) on the year. Indiana will be back in action on Wednesday night in a road game against New York.

Turning to 5Dimes’ updated NBA futures odds, Cleveland is a -165 favorite to win the East this season and Golden State is the top favorite to win the West at +125. The Cavaliers (+265) have the slight edge over the Warriors (+270) to win this season’s NBA title. Top
