NBA Weekly Betting Report – Feb. 24

Betting On Sports Preview – Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors
The NBA is set to wrap-up another month of the regular season as we continue to get closer and closer to this year’s playoffs. Win and losses begin to take on some importance this time of the year when it comes to jockeying for position in the 5Dimes basketball betting standings.

The Atlanta Hawks still have a firm grip on the lead in the Eastern Conference at 44-12 through Monday’s games, but they have cooled a bit with a with a 4-4 record (both straight-up and against the spread) in their last eight contests following an impressive 19-game SU winning streak. NBA Basketball Bettors have to be a bit leery going with the Hawks right now given their 5-7 record ATS in the last 12 games.

Another team in the East that has been costly for bettors lately is the Milwaukee Bucks. Even though they recently doubled their SU win total from a year ago with an overall record of 31-25 in their first 56 games this season, the Bucks are just 1-7 ATS in their last eight NBA betting games. The big picture for this team still looks solid with an overall record of 34-22 ATS that includes a healthy 21-8 ATS record on the road.

The hottest team in the East both on the court and at the sports betting window since mid-January has been the Cleveland Cavaliers. With this past Sunday’s 101-83 romp over New York as heavy 16.5-point road favorites on 5Dimes’ closing NBA betting odds, the Cavaliers are 16-2 and 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games. They will stay on the road this Tuesday night as 6.5-point favorites against Detroit.

The Golden State Warriors have set the pace in the Western Conference all season long at a NBA-best 43-10 on the year, but Memphis continues to stay right in their rear view mirror just three games back. The Warriors are 7-2 SU in their last nine games, but they have given bettors fits with a costly 1-5 record ATS in their last six outings. The Grizzlies are coming off a solid 90-87 victory against the Los Angeles Clippers this past Monday as 3.5-point road underdogs on 5Dimes’ closing NBA basketball betting line. They are now 12-2 SU in their last 14 games, but just 4-4 ATS in their last eight.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been the hottest team in the West despite the loss of Kevin Durant for the near future with a foot injury. Heading into Tuesday’s matchup against Indiana as seven-point home favorites, the Thunder are 6-0 both SU and ATS in their last six games. Top
