NBA Weekly Betting Report – March 31

Heading into the month of April, the main focus for NBA bettors starts to shift towards the postseason and the drive to the NBA Playoffs. Right now it appears that Cleveland, out of the Eastern Conference and the West’s Golden State Warriors remain on a collision course to meet for this season’s world title.

The Cavaliers are 8.5 games in back of Atlanta in the East standings, which is probably too big of a gap to close heading into the final few weeks of the regular season, but they are hottest team in the conference with 11 straight-up victories in their last 14 games. It has been a slippery slope for bettors behind an 8-6 record against the spread during this same stretch. They have failed to cover in their last two games in tighter than expected wins against Brooklyn and Philadelphia.

The Warriors, on the other hand, remain red-hot both on the court and at the betting window. This past Saturday’s 108-95 victory against Milwaukee as five-point road favorites on 5Dimes’ closing betting odds for the game raised their current SU winning streak to nine games while going a highly profitable 8-1 ATS. Golden State will be back in action this Tuesday night as a two-point road underdog with 5Dimes against the rival Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers have made some noise of their own with a SU seven-game winning streak that includes a 5-1 run ATS in their last six contests. They are in fifth-place in the West, but just a game and a half behind Memphis for the second seed for the playoffs.

Another team making a late-season move in the West is the San Antonio Spurs. They appear to be peaking at just the right time with 13 SU wins in their last 16 games to climb to just three games out of second place. The Spurs have also been a great team to bet on with a 7-2 mark ATS in their last nine games. They will square-off against Miami this Tuesday night and 5Dimes USA Online Sportsbooks has listed them as 6.5-point road favorites.

One of the hotter teams in the East has been the Brooklyn Nets. They improved to 32-40 on the year following a three-game winning streak (2-0-1 ATS). This has them tied with Boston for the final playoff spot in that conference. The Nets are 7-2 SU and 5-2-2 ATS in their last nine basketball betting games heading into Tuesday’s matchup against Indiana as 2.5-point favorites at home. Top
